Examination
1. To check the system's operation, start the engine (cold) and listen to its operation. Detonation or roughness should disappear within 30 seconds to 2 minutes 45 seconds. This indicates the system is working properly.
2. If you suspect that the system is not working, check for voltage on the supply wire of the valve winding with the starter on and for 5-6 seconds after starting the engine (the power supply to the winding is controlled by the pre-heating system unit).
3. If power is present but the system does not operate, the solenoid valve is likely faulty and should be replaced.
Removal
Note: Be careful not to allow dirt to enter the fuel pump. Use a new sealing washer when installing.

4. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, then disconnect the valve coil wiring.
5. Unscrew the solenoid valve from the pump and remove the washer. Work very carefully to prevent dirt from entering the pump.
Installation
6. Install in reverse order, using a new sealing washer.
