Removal
1. Remove the lower trim panel from under the steering column.
2. Disconnect the cable from the top of the gas pedal by squeezing the tabs on the end.
3. Unscrew and remove the gas pedal pivot shaft mounting nut and bushing.
4. Remove the gas pedal.
5. Inspect the pedal and pivot axle for signs of wear and replace as necessary.

Installation
6. Install in reverse order. Check the adjustment of the gas pedal cable as described in Chapter 5.
