2. There is equipment for setting dynamic injection timing, but it is unlikely to be available to the car enthusiast. The operation of the equipment is based on the conversion of pressure pulses in the injector tube into electrical signals. If such equipment is available, use it in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
3. Setting the static injection timing described in this Section gives good results. This will require a dial micrometer, a probe and adapter appropriate for the fuel pump type, and locating pins to accurately check the crankshaft position (see illustration).
