Thermal insulation boards
Removing
1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery (contact the head Engine electrical equipment).
Attention! If the car radio in your car is coded, make sure you know the code before disconnecting the battery.
2. Remove a back seat or a pillow of a back seat as it is described in the Head Body, to access the fuel gauge cover.
3. Using a screwdriver, carefully remove the plastic cover from the floor to access the fuel gauge.
4. Disconnect the wiring connector from the sensor and attach the connector to the car body to prevent it from falling behind the tank.
5. Mark the location of the fuel hoses; the green hose on the left side is the fuel supply to the engine compartment, and the red hose next to the electrical wiring connector is the fuel return (arrows on the top of the pump indicate the direction of flow). Disconnect both hoses from the top of the pump, then plug the ends of the hoses to minimize fuel loss.
6. Note the direction of the arrows on the fuel gauge cover and fuel tank, unscrew the blocking ring and remove it from the tank.
7. Carefully remove the sensor assembly from the fuel tank being careful not to damage the lever. Remove the rubber o-ring and check its condition. If the O-ring is unusable, purchase a new one.
8. Please note that the fuel gauge sensor is only available as a complete assembly - individual components are not sold.
Installation
1. Make sure the suction tube filter is not clogged. Install the O-ring on top of the fuel tank.
2. Carefully slide the fuel gauge assembly into the fuel tank.
3. Align the arrow on the sensor cover with the arrow on the fuel tank (the arrow must point towards the rear of the vehicle), then install the blocking ring. Tighten the locking ring securely, then recheck that the marks on the pump cover and tank remain aligned.
Note. If a suitable socket is available, tighten the blocking ring to the Specifications effort.
4. Connect the supply and return hoses to the top of the sensor.
5. Connect electrical wiring.
6. Connect the battery and start the engine. Check fuel gauge supply and return hoses for leaks.
7. Install the plastic cover and rear seat cushion.
