Models without turbocharger



Removal



1. Loosen the mounting screws (one of the screws is in the center of the lid) and remove the air filter cover.

2. Remove the filter element from the filter housing.

3. Disconnect the air intake manifold hose from the air filter housing.

4. Disconnect the air hose at the base of the air cleaner housing and at the front left corner of the engine compartment.

5. Remove the mounting nuts and the air filter housing from the bracket in the engine compartment. If necessary, remove the air inlet duct from the front crossmember and also remove the bracket.

6. Check the condition of the rubber cushions and replace them as necessary. Also check the condition of the hoses and clamps.

Installation



1. Perform installation in reverse order.

Models with turbocharger



Removal



1. Loosen the screws and remove the air filter cover.

2. Remove the air filter housing element.

3. Release the strap securing the air filter housing to the bracket.

4. Disconnect the air duct connecting the air filter housing to the turbocharger.

5. Disconnect the air hose from the air filter base and remove the air filter housing from the bracket.

6. If necessary, unscrew the air inlet duct from the front crossmember and also unscrew the bracket.

7. Check the condition of the fastening belt, hoses and clamps.

Installation



1. Perform installation in reverse order.
