Checking the protective coating of the bottom (Renault Megane 1)
Jack up the car and support it on axle stands. Use a flashlight to inspect the underbody of the car, paying particular attention to the wheel wells. Look for any damage to the underbody coating, which can crack and corrode with age. Also make sure that the wheel well liners are securely fastened with clamps. If there is any damage to the anti-corrosion coating on the underbody, it should be repaired immediately.
