Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Remove:
- two bolts for fastening the bracket of the power steering reservoir and take it to the 8th side;
- rail protection (two nuts);
- accessory drive belt with a hex wrench, which is used to lock the idler after it has been moved.
Hub replacement
Clamp the pump in a vise on a workbench.
Install the T. Ar. 1094 and press out the hub.
Note. Install bolt 1 between pump shaft and pressure bolt of tool T. Ar. 1094.
Install hub (new) and press it on with Dir. 1083-01. For ease of installation, pre-apply a light coat of multipurpose grease to the hub.
Note. Place between fixture Dir. 1083-01 and hub sleeve 2 approx. 25 mm thick.
A - hub.
B - power steering pump.
X = 39.2 mm.
Observe the pressing depth. To do this, when removing, place a 39.2 mm thick gasket between the hub and the pump housing.
