Removal
- Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
- Using clamps Mot. 453-01, clamp the flexible pipes coming from the power steering fluid reservoir. Do not allow any fluid to leak out.
- Disconnect the fluid supply hose and the pressure hose.
- Loosen the bolt and lock nut of the belt tensioner (Fig. 9.22).

- Remove the two pump mounting bolts.
- Remove the belt from the pump pulley.
- Remove the pump assembly with the bracket.
Installation
The installation of the power steering pump is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following recommendations:
- do not reinstall a previously removed accessory drive belt;
- be sure to follow the tensioning procedure for the drive belt of the attachments;
- bleed the power steering hydraulic system.
