Design
Carburetor models - Electronic ignition system. Ignition advance is controlled by an electronic module
Other models - Injection timing and ignition timing are controlled by an electronic module
Ignition timing curves (models J112/S112):
- At the beginning of the installation (except the bottom one) — RE 001
- Switzerland and Austria - RE 020
Ignition timing at idle:
- Carburetor models - 10±1° BTDC, vacuum hose disconnected
- Others - Regulated by electronic module
- Position of ignition timing mark - On the flywheel
Spark plugs
Installed spark plugs:
- Engines J112/S112 - AC 42 CLTS, Champion S279 YC
- Engines J112/S112, optionally - AC 42 LTS, Champion BN7Y, BN9Y
- L16 engines - AC C41 CLTS, Champion S7YC or S6YC (since 1991)
- Engines L17 — AC C41 CLTS, CR41 CLTS, Champion S7YC, RS7YC
- Engines J636 - Champion S281 YC, Renault C52 LJS
- Engines J637 - AC C41 CLTS, Champion S7YC
- Engines J638 - Renault C72 LJS
Gap between electrodes:
- Carburetor engine and engine - V6 0.75 - 0.85 mm
- Other engines - 0.85 - 0.95 mm
