Multipoint injection system
Malfunction | Her reason | Debugg |
A. Cold engine starts poorly or does not start at all. | 1. Faulty electrical relay. 2. The fuel pump does not work or does not work at full capacity. 3. Faulty starting fuel valve (16 valve engine). 4. Fuel pressure regulator defective. 5. The coolant temperature sensor or, accordingly, the intake manifold is defective. 6. Defective pressure sensor. 7. Faulty throttle potentiometer. 8. Faulty control device. 9. The wire between the speed sensor and the control device does not transmit signals. 10. Air sucked in through leaks enters the engine. | Check, replace if necessary. Is there gasoline in the tank? Check the fuel pump, measure the amount of fuel injected. Check valve. Measure the pressure.
Check all hose connections. |
B. Warm engine won't start or starts poorly. | 1. Fault in low pressure line to fuel pressure regulator. 2. See A. 1-10. 3. Leaky nozzle. | Check pipeline. Check nozzle. |
C. Engine starts but then stalls again. | 1. Idle air control valve not working. 2. See A. 6 and 7. 3. See B. 1. | Check valve. |
D. Cold engine vibrates at idle. | 1. See A. 5. 2. See C. 1.
E. Warm engine vibrates at idle. | See C. 1 and 4.
F. Engine idle speed decreases when power steering is turned fully. | See c.1.
G. Engine runs rough. | 1. Clogged fuel filter. 2. See A. 2 B. 6. 3. See B. 3. | Replace filter. |
H. Unsteady operation at 2000-3000rpm. | See A.7.
I. Engine runs rough or stalls. | See A.2.
J. Engine develops insufficient power. | 1. See A. 2, 6, 7 and 10. 2. Throttle does not open fully. | Adjust the throttle cable setting. |
K. Motor fires into suction pipe. | See A.6.
L. Too much fuel consumption. | See A. 5-7. |
