Central locking servomotor
1 - servomotor; 2 - door lock; 3 - servo motor mounting pin; 4 - locking device of the transfer rod to the lock inside the door; 5 - lock of the transfer rod to the door lock opening device.

If the infrared receiver (3) is faulty, it must be replaced together with the transmitter on the ignition key due to coding mismatch. However, first check the contact connection (2). To do this, remove the receiver from the socket (1) using a screwdriver.
On Renault 19 models equipped with central locking, all doors and the boot lid can be opened or closed simultaneously by closing the driver's door or by pressing the infrared remote transmitter button on the ignition key. For this purpose, each door has small electric motors.
At the same time as the driver's door lock closes, the other servomotors receive an impulse. Depending on whether the driver's door lock is closed or opened, the other door locks are also closed or opened.
Removal the central lock servomotor
1. Remove the inner door trim.
2. At the end of the door, unscrew the 3 TORX screws securing the door lock.
3. Disconnect the retaining clips of the door striker transfer rods, external and internal lock opening devices.
4. Remove the servomotor together with the lock from the door frame.
5. Disconnect the connectors.
6. Depending on the type of motor installed, unscrew the screw or, respectively, pull out the safety pin and remove the motor from the door lock.
7. Before installing the interior door trim, check the functionality of the device.
