If your Renault 19 is equipped with electric windows, you can lower the front door windows by pressing the pushbutton switch on the inside door handle. The windows only work when the ignition is on.

2. Disconnect the lift motor connector.

3. Unscrew the fastening of the lifting mechanism in the door frame. To do this, unscrew 3 nuts in the engine.

4. Unscrew the 2 fasteners from the lifting mechanism.

5. Turn the window lift motor in the door frame and with the motor forward, pull the window lift mechanism out of the door.

6. Remove the engine.

7. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

8. Before attaching the door trim, check the functionality of the device.

in what direction.
1. The glass moves slowly in the guides, the fuse is faulty due to motor overload.
2. The motor does not work, although the fuse is OK.

Make sure the glass moves easily in the guides; replace the fuse.
Apply voltage directly to the motor terminals. If the motor runs, the problem is solved. If the motor does not work, replace it.

C. The glass moves very slowly along its entire length.

1. The glass is jammed in the guides.
2. Too high friction in the entire mechanism.
3. The wire connections are oxidized or damaged.
4. The switch is faulty or oxidized.

Check the glass gap and adjust if necessary.

Check it out.
Check and replace if necessary.

D.The glass moves slowly at the top of its stroke. The glass is jammed in the guides. Check the glass gap and adjust if necessary.

Troubleshooting on the road

1. If one switch is faulty, remove the other switch

2. Connect its switch in place of the broken one. Now you can close the glass with the working switch.

3. If the wiring to the electric motor is damaged, connect an auxiliary wire from the battery (if there is no positive electric current) or from mass (if there is no mass) to the engine, and the glass will start moving.

4. If the lift motor is jammed, you can remove the door trim and lift the glass up manually. To do this, remove the glass from the lift rail.

5. Lift the glass upward and fix it in this position with a wooden wedge.

6. You can also fix the glass with wide adhesive tape.
