Note: For any work on the hydraulic clutch
- be sure to bleed the air
- from the circuit between the tank and the bleed valve,
- from the circuit between the bleed valve and the clutch slave cylinder,
- with increased pedal free play.
Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Remove the engine undertray.
Loosen the two expansion tank nuts.
Move the expansion tank to the side.
Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor connector from the reservoir.
Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap.
Drain the brake fluid from the reservoir so that its level is below the fluid supply port to the clutch master cylinder.
Remove the plug from the bleed valve.
Place a rag under the clutch slave cylinder.
Click on the latch (1).
Attention! Do not pull on the latch. In case of any erroneous action, the pipeline must be replaced.
Open the bleed hole by pulling out the hydraulic clutch line one click (2).
Note: Take care to collect leaking brake fluid.
Connect the transparent hose to the bleed valve (3) by lowering the other end into an empty vessel located below the air vent.
Press the clutch pedal with your hand (to remove fluid from the master cylinder and piping).
Click on the holder (1) clutch slave cylinder.
Disconnect the pipeline (2) from the clutch slave cylinder and fit plugs to each hole.
Remove the retainer (4) the pipeline connecting the main and working cylinders on the main cylinder.
Place a rag under the master cylinder.
Disconnect the pipeline (5) on the master cylinder in the engine compartment.
Insert the plugs into the holes.
Disconnect:
- pipeline connecting the main and working cylinders, on the body (6),
- the pipeline connecting the main and working cylinders, on the gearbox at the point (7).
Remove the pipeline (8), connecting the master and slave cylinders of the hydraulic clutch.
Installation
Check the condition of the gaskets.
Remove the plugs from the holes.
Establish the pipeline connecting the main and working cylinders of a hydrodrive of coupling.
Fix the pipeline connecting the master and slave cylinders of the clutch hydraulic actuator:
- on the gearbox
- on the body.
Attach the pipeline to the master cylinder, operating from the engine compartment.
Establish a clamp of the connecting pipeline between the main and working cylinders on the main cylinder.
Attach the pipeline to the clutch slave cylinder.
Note: A characteristic click should be heard when the hydraulic clutch pipe is fixed.
Install the expansion tank.
Torque tighten expansion tank nuts 8 (Nm).
Top up the brake fluid and top up the level.
Bleed the air from the hydraulic clutch.
Install the engine undertray.
