Parking brake cables (Renault Duster 1)

Removal

Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

Remove:

• center console,
• rear wheels,
• rear wheel brake drums.

Remove the parking brake cable (1) from the lever using pliers and a screwdriver.

Disconnect the parking brake cable sheath (2) from the brake shield.

Disconnect:

• cables (3) from below,
• cable sheaths from the stoppers on the body (4) with pliers.

Disconnect the parking brake cables from the guides.

Remove the parking brake cables.

Installation

Install the parking brake cables.

Attach the parking brake cables to the guides.

Attach the parking brake cable housing to the brake drum shield.

Install the parking brake cable into the lever socket using pliers and a screwdriver.



Make sure that the cables (5) are securely fastened to the levers.



Secure the cable sheath to the body with a stopper.

Snap:

• cables (3) on the drive lever,
• shells with stoppers on the body (4).

Adjust the parking brake cables.

Install:

• rear wheel brake drums,
• rear wheels,
• center console.
