Bearing and clutch release fork: 1 - clutch housing; 2 - clutch release bearing; 3 - guide sleeve of the clutch release bearing; 4 - clutch release fork
Figure 4.8. Fork (1) and bearing (2) clutch release (A - the protrusions of the clutch release bearing, which must be hooked on the fork).
Access to the bearing is possible with the gearbox removed.
To remove, remove the fork from the bearing and slide the bearing off the guide bushing of the gearbox input shaft. Remember how the fork is mounted on the bearing.
To remove the fork, detach the rubber boot and pull it off the pivot.
Check the ease and noiselessness of the rotation of the bearing, replace it if in doubt about suitability.
When installing, lubricate the yoke pivot, the bearing surface against the diaphragm spring tabs, and the bearing guide with molybdenum grease.
Make sure that the clutch release fork is properly engaged with tabs A (see Figure 4.8) bearing races.
