Precautions when working with the ignition system (Renault Symbol 2)

The voltage generated by the described electronic system is significantly higher than the voltage of conventional ignition systems.

Make sure the ignition is off before starting work.

Turn off the ignition before connecting any measuring equipment, including a stroboscope.

Do not ground the ignition coil wires to ground, this will damage the coil or the ECU and may cause a strong electric shock.

You can check the condition of the wires and spark plug by unscrewing the spark plug and attaching it to the ground with an alligator clip.

Do not perform diagnostics by removing high-voltage wires while the engine is running.

It is recommended that if any malfunctions occur during engine operation, you contact a Renault station, where the fault will be identified with less loss of time and money.

The car owner can independently check the reliability of the wire connections, the absence of oxidation on them, the cleanliness of the air and fuel filters, and the condition of the spark plug electrodes.
