The fuel filter is located under the vehicle in front of the fuel tank.
Replacement procedure:
- place the car on a ramp or lift. Engage the parking brake;
- release the pressure in the fuel system (see section "Fuel system");
- place a wide container under the fuel filter to collect any leaking fuel;
- wipe away any dirt around the filter to prevent it from getting into the pipes;
- disconnect the hoses equipped with quick-release clamps from the fuel filter (to facilitate removal). Remember how the sealing rings are installed on the hoses. Plug the holes in the hoses to prevent dirt from getting into the fuel system;

- remove the fuel filter from the bracket (Figure 2.35);
- insert a new filter into the bracket with the arrow pointing towards the engine;
- connect the hoses to the filter, making sure the sealing rings are installed correctly;
- start the engine and check for fuel leaks;
- lower the car.
