- Nut of the upper shock absorber support - 20 Nm
- Shock absorber lower support bolt - 105 Nm

Removing the shock absorber
- turn on reverse gear (or set the selector lever to position «R»);
- raise the rear of the car and install safety supports under the body;
- remove the wheel from the desired side and fully release the parking brake;
- slightly raise the rear trailing arm with a jack to unload the shock absorber;

- remove the lower shock absorber mounting bolt (Figure 5.12);

- in the luggage compartment, remove the cap of the upper shock absorber support, unscrew the nut and remove the rubber cushion (Figure 5.13);
- remove the shock absorber from the car;
Attention! Do not remove two shock absorbers at the same time.
- check the condition of the shock absorber as described for the front suspension. If damage is found, replace the shock absorber.
Installation
- when installing a new shock absorber properly «pump» its completely several times (if the shock absorber was in a horizontal position);
- install the shock absorber in place, tightening its fasteners by hand;
- perform other operations in the reverse order of removal;
- lower the car;
- repeatedly «pump» suspension and tighten the shock absorber mountings to the specified torque.
