- put the car on a lift or raise the front of the car and put it on supports;
- disconnect the wires from the battery and remove it from the car;
- remove the right front wheel;
- disconnect the intake silencer;
- disconnect the tie rod joint from the steering knuckle;
- remove the spring pin securing the right wheel drive shaft to the transmission output shaft (see subsection «Front wheel drive shafts»);
- unscrew the upper bolt of the shock absorber strut to the steering knuckle, remembering the position of the bolt. Just loosen the bottom bolt;
- move the steering knuckle aside and separate the wheel drive shaft from the gearbox;
- remove the bracket for the injection computer (see subsection «Supply system»), having previously disconnected the connectors of the computer and the sensor of the fuel supply switch in a collision;

- remove the catalytic converter screen bolts (pic. 8.4);
- remove the wiring block from the oil level sensor and set aside the wiring harness;

- Disconnect the power cable from the starter by unscrewing its fastening nut (pic. 8.5) and contact connector of the traction relay;
- unscrew the starter mounting bolts and remove it from the bottom of the engine compartment.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that the mounting sleeve is present, which should be at point A. Install the heat shields in the correct position.
