Removal
Disconnect the battery.
Disconnect the air-to-air cooler line on the engine cooling fan at point (1).
Move the air duct aside.
Disconnect the engine wiring harness at point (2).
Remove:
- the fastening nut (3) of the starter electromagnetic valve wire,
- the fastening nut (4) of the starter wire,
- starter wires,
- starter mounting bolts (5),
- starter.
Installation
Check for the presence of the starter mounting sleeve.

Install the starter.
Tighten the starter mounting bolts to the specified torque (44 Nm).
Install the starter leads.
Tighten to the specified torque:
- starter solenoid valve wire fastening nut (5 Nm),
- starter terminal mounting nut (8 Nm).
Secure:
- engine wiring harness,
- secure the air-to-air cooler pipe to the engine cooling system electric fan.
Connect the battery.
