Removal and installation of the ECU of the petrol engine injection system (Renault Megane 2)

Removal

Remove the top engine covers.

Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals, starting with the negative terminal.

Disconnect the fuel injection system ECU connectors.

Unscrew the four bolts securing the ECU to the bracket and remove the ECU (fig. 2.235).

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Tighten the battery tray mounting bolts (21 Nm).

Connect the wires to the battery terminals, starting with the positive terminal.

Note: When the ignition is turned on, the throttle body must perform a programming cycle of the minimum and maximum throttle opening angles.
