The position sensor forms a single unit with the accelerator pedal. The accelerator pedal must be replaced together with the sensor.

The vehicle can be equipped with two types of accelerator pedal: with or without a switch at the end of the stroke.

On vehicles equipped with a speed controller/limiter, an accelerator pedal with a switch at the end of the "Kick-down" stroke is installed.

The switch is used to cancel the speed limit mode if the driver needs to increase it.

Attention! It is possible to install a pedal with a switch at the end of the stroke instead of a pedal without a switch. It is prohibited to install a pedal without a switch instead of a pedal with a switch.

Removal

Disconnect the battery terminal wires, starting with the negative terminal, and the accelerator pedal position sensor wiring harness.

Loosen the pedal mounting bolts and remove the pedal.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Connect the wires to the battery terminals, starting with the positive terminal.

Note: A faulty accelerator pedal position sensor will cause changes in engine operation at idle or under load conditions.
