Caution! When performing this operation, wear protective glasses and gloves. Perform all actions in a clean work area to prevent contamination from entering the throttle valve unit.
Remove the throttle body.

Remove the outer throttle body sealing rings (fig. 2.242).

Note: Renault carburetor cleaner will damage seals.
Secure the throttle valve in the open position by hand.

Apply the cleaner to the inner surface of the block housing until all traces of dirt are removed (fig. 2.243).

Remove dirt and cleaning agent residue with wipes (fig. 2.244).

Blow compressed air around the perimeter of the throttle body, then the outer surface of the housing (fig. 2.245).
