Removal



Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals, starting with the negative terminal.

Remove the intake manifold.

Caution: Beware of gasoline emissions when disconnecting the fuel supply line from the fuel rail.

Loosen the two nuts securing the fuel rail protective cover (fig. 2.200).

Move the wire harness aside.

Disconnect:
  • fuel supply line nipple;
  • injector wire blocks;
  • detonation sensor wiring harness (fig. 2.201).

Loosen the fuel rail mounting bolts.

Carefully pull the fuel rail towards you and remove it.

Loosen the wiring harness mounting nut and remove the dipstick guide tube (fig. 2.202).

Loosen the bolts securing the injector housing lining (fig. 2.203).

Installation



The injector housing lining gasket must be replaced.

Install all mounting bolts.

Please attach:
  • the injector housing lining to the upper timing belt cover and tighten bolt A by hand;
  • the lining of the injector housings to the engine pendulum mount support, tightening bolt B by hand.

Press the injector housing lining into the gaskets C of the cylinder head cover (fig. 2.204).

Tighten in the order shown in Figure 2.204 to the required torque:
  • mounting bolts 11 and 12 of the injector housing lining (25 Nm);
  • mounting bolts 13 and 20 of the injector housing lining (21 Nm).

Tighten to the specified torque:
  • timing belt upper cover mounting bolt (44 Nm);
  • pendulum suspension support mounting bolt (44 Nm).

Install the intake manifold.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Connect the wires to the battery terminals, starting with the positive terminal.
