Throttle position at idle! the damper is set depending on the set idle speed, which depends on the number of powerful electricity consumers turned on (air conditioner) and engine operating conditions (air and coolant temperatures).
Pressing the accelerator pedal is translated into a change in engine torque request, which will change the throttle opening angle and ignition timing.
To eliminate jerks, facilitate gear changes and ensure safety, the throttle valve allows you to change the engine torque.
Servo Throttle Valve Standby Modes
The motorized throttle body can operate in three standby modes.
Power limit mode
This mode is used for faults in the electrical circuits, for which there is a safe solution suitable for the injection system (malfunction of one of the two conductive paths of the accelerator pedal position sensor or throttle body).
In this mode, the intensity of acceleration and the angle of maximum throttle opening are limited.
Electric throttle opening limitation
This mode is used when there is no information about the position of the accelerator pedal, but the injection ECU continues to control the air filling of the engine cylinders (throttle actuator remains controlled).
In this mode, the injection computer sets a certain engine speed for each gear and sets the engine to idle when the brake pedal is pressed.
Mechanical Throttle Opening Limit Mode
This mode is used for malfunctions that result in loss of throttle control control (damper does not respond to movement of the accelerator pedal).
In this case, the throttle valve is in the home position and the injection computer limits the speed by interrupting the fuel injection.
Note. When switching to any of these modes, the injection malfunction warning lamp lights up on the instrument panel.
