Load Potentiometer Programming (Renault Espace III)

The load potentiometer is not adjustable. It is only necessary to program the potentiometer to detect the position of the pressed and released accelerator pedal.
  • Connect the Renault XR25 portable diagnostic tool.
  • Switch the device to "S4".
  • Turn on the ignition without starting the engine.
  • Enter code D 0 4.
  • The 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 11th graphic symbols should appear.
  • Press the accelerator pedal firmly for 5 seconds.
  • Wait until symbol 6 turns off and symbol 2 lights up.
  • Release the accelerator pedal and remove your foot from it for 5 seconds.
  • Symbol 6 should turn off.
  • Only symbols 1, 3, 4, 5 and 11 should be displayed.
  • Turn off the ignition.
  • Turn on the ignition and enter the code D 0 4.
  • Make sure the programming is done properly, otherwise, repeat the programming.
  • Turn off the ignition.
  • Disconnect the Renault XR25 portable diagnostic tool.

Inappropriate programming can result in the following:

- constant lighting of the control lamp;

- incorrect gear shifting.

- unstable throttle opening;

- unreliable return to the initial position;

- discomfort for the driver's driving
