Removal
- Place the car on a lift. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
- Drain the coolant and engine oil. Do not screw in the oil drain plug.
- Remove the right front wheel and the right wheel arch mudguard.
- Remove the four bolts securing the water pump cover (pic. 4.71).

- Lock the crankshaft with a screwdriver inserted into the flywheel ring gear.
- Unscrew the locknut securing the water pump hub.
- Using a U 14 L FACOM puller, remove the gear from the water pump (pic. 4.72).

Installation
- Replace the water pump.
Attention. The remaining coolant will drain into the engine oil pan.
- Make sure the water pump mounting surface is clean and that the coolant is draining into the oil pan.
- Installation of the water pump is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
