Pic. 4.73. Removing the Cooling System Element Kit
- Use the charging station to discharge the refrigerant from the air conditioning circuit.
- Open the relay box and disconnect the radiator-mounted cooling system wiring harness connector.
- Remove the radiator trim, grille and front bumper; to access the two bolts, you need to bend the left fender liner. First disconnect the connectors from the fog lights.
- Unscrew the bolts securing the radiator struts and fold the struts to remove the radiator through the bottom of the car.
- Disconnect the air conditioning hoses going to the condenser from the compressor, disconnect the quick-release connection of the hose going from the receiver-dryer to the front panel
- In the case of removing and installing a set of cooling system elements as an assembly, it is not recommended to disconnect the connections between the high pressure pipelines and the condenser-receiver unit, because These connections use special seals, the replacement of which requires special care.
- Place the radiator cross member on a workbench with spacers, removing the fasteners.
- Remove the two bolts securing the cross member to the ends of the side members.
- Raise the vehicle while holding the cooling system assembly to prevent damage (perform the operation together with an assistant).
Installation
- Installation is carried out in sequence. reverse withdrawal
- Replacing the air conditioning condenser or its cooling heat exchanger requires removing the engine cooling system assembly
