Filling the cooling system and removing air (Renault Espace III)

When filling the system, it is necessary to open both air bleed valves located at the top of the radiator and on the thermostat block located on the coolant drain line from the cylinder head

• Fill the cooling system with coolant through the filler hole of the expansion tank.
• Close the air bleed valves as soon as coolant flows out of them in a continuous stream.
• Start the engine and let it run at 2500 rpm.
• After 4 minutes, add coolant to the required level.
• Close the expansion tank cap.

Removal air

• Let the engine run for 20 minutes at 2500 rpm until the radiator fans come on (time required for automatic air removal).
• Make sure that the fluid level in the expansion tank is in the area of the "Maxi" mark.
• Do not open the air bleed plugs while the engine is running.
• Tighten the expansion tank cap on a warm engine.
