2. Disconnect the battery.
3. Disconnect the wire from the terminal on the back of the generator.
4. Loosen the alternator mounting bolts. On early models, loosen the tensioner bolt from the underside of the vehicle near the engine mount (put the car on axle stands). For late cars, loosen the bolts (1) And (2). Loosen the pinch bolt (3), which will release the strap to take it off (see illustrations).

5. Completely turn out bolts of fastening and remove the generator as it is specified above.
6. Install the generator in reverse order. Adjust the drive belt tension as described earlier.
