2. Before removing any part, turn off the wiper and turn it on again so that it returns to its rest position.
3. Now you can disconnect the battery.
4. To remove the wiper arms, unscrew the nuts of the wiper lead screws from the outside and remove the wiper arm (see illustration).

5. To remove the wiper motor on early models, unscrew both bolts (see illustration 10.4), disconnect the connector and remove the wiper rod.
6. Remove the motor shaft nuts and three mounting bolts, then remove the motor. At the same time, observe how the engine crank is installed in relation to the long rod in order to reattach it in the same way.
7. With later Espace models, removing the wiper mechanism is quite difficult. In addition to the wiper arms, disconnect the washer jet hoses and remove the air intake grille in front of the windshield.
8. Then remove the two screws on the left and right of the top surface, and two screws on the bottom surface, and remove the entire mechanism assembly.
9. The wiper motor can be removed separately.
10. Nut of an axis of the lever of a screen wiper brush («1», see illustration) is removed from the installed lever. After disconnecting the plug block, unscrew the three bolts (2) and remove the wiper motor.

11. Install parts in reverse order.
12. After installation, turn on the wiper and make sure that its levers are set to the proper position.
