2. Disconnect the battery.
3. When working on vehicles manufactured before the end of December 1987, remove the turn signal lamp, disconnect the multi-pin plug of the bulb and unscrew the nuts (1) (see illustration). Remove the fog light.

4. When working on cars manufactured since 1988 (generation I) disconnect the multi-pin connector from the fog light bulb and both small connectors from the back of the parking lights and turn signal lights.
5. Unscrew the 4 nuts securing the fog light, release the spring located on the inside and pull the fog light forward.
6. On the second generation vehicle, disconnect the turn signal light connector, remove the radiator grille trim (2x2 screws), the radiator grille (6 screws) and disconnect the turn signal light (1 spring clamp) and push it forward.
7. Unscrew the 4 nuts on the back side and pull the fog lamp forward. Remove the cover (3) (spring clip), to provide access to the nut (see illustration).

8. Install the fog light in the reverse order.
9. After installation, the fog lights must always be adjusted. To adjust them, you must use a special optical device. The adjusting bolts are also located in different places:
a) On first generation vehicles, the height adjustment bolt is located at point (2) (see illustration 9.3). The side adjustment bolt is located at the bottom near the turn signal lamp on the back of the fog lamp.
b) On second generation vehicles, the location of the bolts is shown in Illustration 9.7.

10. It is possible to make a temporary adjustment. To do this, park the car 5 m in front of a dark wall or garage door and turn on the fog lights. The height of the fog lights and the center distance can be transferred to the wall (door). When installing, turn on the low beam and adjust the fog lights so that the light beams fall on the marked crosshairs. However, contact a specialist for adjustment as soon as possible.
