Checking high voltage wires
1. Check if the wires are firmly inserted into the connectors. They can rise due to the expansion of the air in the tip and thus cause interruptions in the operation of the engine.
2. The locking hooks on the wire end must be properly engaged on the ignition coil.
3. The connectors must not be oxidized and must have good contact with the plug sockets of the spark plug.
4. If sparks jump to ground near the spark plug, you will hear clicks or pops in the engine compartment.
5. In the dark, you can clearly see the jumping of spark discharges. The cause may be a layer of salt or worn wire insulation.
6. High voltage wire with thin or worn insulation should be replaced.
