Attention!
- Be sure to check the oil level on the dipstick.
- Do not exceed the maximum level on the dipstick (this can lead to engine failure).
Note:
- After filling the engine with oil, be sure to wait at least 10 minutes before checking the level to allow the oil to completely drain into the crankcase.
- When removing the oil filter, make sure that the oil filter gasket does not remain stuck to the cylinder block or oil filter bracket.
Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Remove:
- bolts of fastening of protection of the pallet crankcase of the engine,
- protective screen.
Install the crankcase ventilation pan under the engine.
Remove the fuel rail guard.
Remove the oil filter using the tool (Mot. 1329) (1).
Installation
Parts subject to mandatory replacement: oil filter.
Using a surface cleaner, wipe and degrease the cylinder block mating surfaces.
Lubricate the oil filter gasket with fresh engine oil.
Install a new oil filter.
Tighten the oil filter until it touches the surface of the engine.
Screw in the oil filter 3/4 turn by hand.
Install the fuel rail guard.
Remove the crankcase ventilation pan retainer.
Wipe off any oil spills with a rag.
Fill the engine with oil recommended by the manufacturer.
Crank the engine with the starter until the oil pressure warning light on the instrument panel goes out.
Check for oil leakage in the oil filter area.
Install the engine undertray.
Wait at least 10 minutes.
Check the engine oil level on the dipstick.
If necessary, top up the oil level to the correct level on the dipstick.
