Front wheel drives: A - left front wheel drive; B - right front wheel drive; 1 - slotted tip; 2.18 - external hinges; 3,5,7, 11,13,16 - clamps; 4,7,12,17 - covers; 6.14 - front wheel drive shafts; 8 - case holder; 9 - left inner hinge; 10 - right inner hinge; 15 - dynamic damper; 19 - threaded tip
The drive to the front wheels is carried out by two steel shafts of unequal length, having constant velocity joints (CV joints) at both ends. The CV joint adjacent to the gearbox is called the inner one, and the one adjacent to the wheel hub is called the outer one.
The following are installed on the left drive shaft:
- outside CV joint type GE 86;
- inside the CV joint type GL 69.
The following are installed on the right drive shaft:
- outside CV joint type GE 86;
- inside the CV joint type RC 462.
