1 - Generator, 2 - Starter.
Removal the generator
Necessary devices and special tools:
- Mot. 1273 - device for checking the drive belt tension,
- Mot. 1505 - Drive Belt Tension Tester
1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
2. Disconnect the battery.
3. (For vehicles equipped with air conditioning)
Remove:
- right front wheel, as well as right and left mudguards;
- bumper;
- top cross member (unscrewing the two lower mounting bolts), and put it on the engine;
- drive belt for attachments (see the corresponding subsection of the chapter "Maintenance");
- power steering pump pulley;
- fastening the power steering pump to its support;
- generator mounting bolts;
- generator. To do this, move the power steering pump to the side.
4. (For vehicles not equipped with air conditioning).
Remove the accessory drive belt (see the corresponding subsection of the chapter "Maintenance").
Generator installation
The generator is installed in the reverse order of removal. For the procedure for adjusting the tension of the drive belt of the attachments, see the corresponding subsection of the chapter "Maintenance".
