Removal:


  • on a vehicle with electric windows, disconnect the negative battery cable;
  • remove the door trim;
  • lower the window by temporarily installing the window handle or connecting the contact connector;

  • carefully remove the seal from the inner lower edge of the window opening (Figure 9.71);

  • remove the plastic retainer securing the drop-down glass to the glass guide channel (Figure 9.72);
  • remove the protrusion from the hole in the glass, support the glass;

  • release the guide plate at the rear edge of the glass (attached to the glass). Carefully pry the guide plate away from the bottom edge of the guide channel seal inside the door (Figure 9.73);
  • carefully lift the glass up, tilting the rear edge forward, and remove the glass from the door window opening (Figure 9.74).

Installation



Install in the reverse order of removal. Do the following:
  • correctly align the guide plate on the rear edge of the glass with the guide channel (seal inside the door);
  • before installing the door trim, check the operation of the window lift mechanism by connecting the battery and the window lift motor wiring connector or by installing the window lift handle.
