The car is equipped with a windshield washer with an electric pump (Fig. 8.49) of bidirectional action with the ability to supply fluid from the reservoir to the washer of either the windshield or the rear window, depending on the voltage on the two contacts of connector 5.
Removal and installation the windshield washer reservoir
Removal procedure:
- disconnect the negative battery cable;
- remove the wiper arms;
- remove the windshield trim (see section "Body");

- disconnect the contact connector from the electric pump (Fig. 8.50);

- unscrew the windshield washer reservoir mounting bolt and lift it up so that the hoses can be disconnected from the electric pump (Fig. 8.51), marking their location;
- remove the tank from the engine compartment;
- if necessary, disconnect the electric pump from the tank.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the notes regarding the installation of the windshield wiper arms (see above).
Windscreen washer nozzles
The direction of the liquid stream coming out of the nozzles is adjusted using a needle or pin inserted into the sprayer and turned in the desired direction for optimal liquid delivery to the glass.
To remove the windshield nozzle, lift the hood, disconnect the hose from the nozzle and carefully push it out, being careful not to damage the paint.
To remove the tailgate injector, you need to remove the top door panel (see subsection "Removal and installation the upper brake light"). Disconnect the hose and carefully push the nozzle out, being careful not to damage the paint on the door.
Install the injectors in the reverse order of removal.
