- install the wiper blades in their original position and mark their location on the windshield for easy reinstallation;
- disconnect the negative battery cable;
- please note that the cleaner leads are of different lengths, do not mix them up when installing;

- lift the plastic cap or plug covering the leash mounting nut (Fig. 8.43);
- use a screwdriver or puller to slide the leash off the axle. Be careful not to damage the paint or trim;
- remove the windshield trim as described in the section "Body";

- release the retainer and disconnect the contact connector from the wiper motor (Fig. 8.44);

- unscrew the two screws securing the drive mechanism A (Fig. 8.45) and separate it from the rear mounting point;
- after removing the drive mechanism and the motor assembly, unscrew the nut B of the motor shaft and release the rod, marking its position;
- remove the three motor mounts.
Installation procedure:
- install the rod on the motor in accordance with the mark made during removal;
- before installing the wiper arms, make sure the motor is in the fixed stop position;
- use a wire bristle brush to clean the splines on the wiper arm axles;
- install the wiper arms by placing the brush opposite the mark made during removal;
- install new nuts and tighten them to the specified torque;
- check the operation of the cleaner.
