Removal



Removal


1. On all engines except K7M, the switch is located next to the oil filter (refer to the accompanying illustration). On the K7M engine, it is located on the left front part of the cylinder block.

2. Set the handbrake, then jack up the front of the car and support it on axle stands.

3. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the switch.

4. Unscrew the switch from the cylinder block and remove the sealing washer (refer to the accompanying illustration). Be prepared for oil to leak and plug the hole in the cylinder block if necessary.

Installation



1. Inspect the sealing washer for damage or contamination and replace if necessary.

2. Install the switch together with the washer and tighten it securely. Connect the electrical wiring.

3. If necessary, top up the engine oil level as described in Section Schedule of current maintenance.
