Removal



1. On C- and E-series engines, the switch is located on the front left side of the cylinder block. On D-series engines, the switch is located on the rear of the oil pump/filter mounting flange. On E-series engines, the switch is located on the front right side of the cylinder block, next to the oil filter.

2. If necessary, apply the handbrake, then jack up the front of the vehicle and support it on axle stands. Remove the lower shield from under the engine/transmission block.

3. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, then disconnect the wiring from the switch.

4. Place a suitable container under the switch, then unscrew the switch from the housing.

Installation



5. Clean the threads of the switch, then screw it into the housing and tighten it securely.

6. Connect the electrical wiring, then install the engine/transmission lower shield.

7. Lower the car to the ground, connect the negative cable to the battery.
