Windshield wiper
With the ignition on, move the steering column switch (1):
- A. Off.
- B. Intermittent operation. After each working cycle, the brushes stop for a few seconds.
- C. Continuous operation at low frequency.
- D. Continuous work with high frequency.
Attention:
- Before inspecting the engine compartment, set the windshield wiper lever to position A (turned off). Risk of injury.
- When the outside temperature is below zero, make sure that the wiper blades are not frozen to the glass: this can cause the wiper motor to overheat.
- Check the condition of the brushes. The brushes should be replaced as soon as you notice deterioration in glass cleaning performance (about once a year).
- Clean your windshield regularly. If you turn off the ignition while the windshield wipers are running (lever is in position A), the brushes will stop at an arbitrary position
- Turn the ignition back on, set the steering column switch (1) to position A to return the brushes to the fixed stop position.
- Before any work on the windshield (car washing, heating, windshield washing, etc.) flip the switch (1) to position D (stop). Otherwise, you may be injured and/or damage the windshield.
Windshield washer
With the ignition on, pull the stalk lever (1) to myself.
With a short exposure, the washer is turned on and the brushes make one full stroke.
With prolonged exposure, the windshield washer is switched on and the wipers make three strokes.
