- Remove 4 screws and remove the top cover of the engine protective casing.
- Remove the pulsation damper and, using the damper sealing ring, fit tool Mot. 1311 in its place.
- From the Mot. 1311 set, connect the tube and from the Mot. 836-05 set, the pressure gauge with a measurement limit of 10 bar.
- Short-circuit terminals "3" and "5" together (thick wires) fuel pump relay and measure the fuel pressure, which should be within 3±0.2 bar.
- Using a vacuum pump, apply a vacuum to the fuel pressure regulator, and the fuel pressure should decrease by the same amount as the applied vacuum.
- To check the safety function of the fuel pump, briefly pinch the flexible fuel return hose located near the front shield; the pressure should be within 4.5-7.5 bar.
Note: When installing the pulsation damper, use a new O-ring.
