To remove or install a condenser or receiver-dryer, it is necessary to remove a set of engine cooling system components.

Caution: The cooling fins of the heat exchangers are very fragile. When working on the heat exchangers, take precautions to prevent damage to the cooling fins.

Removal

  • Remove the upper fan guide brackets by lifting the brackets up with a screwdriver and sliding them back to release them.
  • Remove the flange mounting bolt (1, Fig. 14.12) and remove the receiver-drier

Installation

  • Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
  • When connecting the pipes to the receiver-dryer, lubricate the gaskets with compressor oil.
  • Using a filling station, fill the refrigeration circuit with R134a refrigerant.
