Removal

  • The air supply device is mounted on a bracket.
  • Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
  • Use a charging station to discharge refrigerant from the air conditioning system circuit
  • Starting from the corner, lift the upper instrument cluster trim vertically, releasing the three upper clips
  • Remove the screws of the rear instrument cluster mounting.
  • Remove the side mounting screws located under the buffers in the sound-absorbing foam.
  • Pull the instrument cluster forward.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from the instrument cluster and remove it.
  • To access the air distribution unit cover, remove most of the sound insulation.
  • Disconnect the two air ducts connecting the air supply unit to the air distribution units.
  • Disconnect the power wires from the fan motors and the air recirculation motor.
  • Unscrew the 4 plastic nuts and remove the front noise insulation part.
  • Remove the front elastic support.
  • Disconnect the junction box in the engine compartment
  • Move the instrument panel aside.
  • Disconnect the condensate drain elbow pipe
  • Remove 4 bolts securing the fan shroud bracket
  • Remove the fan shroud and evaporator assembly from under the instrument panel on the front passenger side

Installation

  • Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
  • Using a charging station, charge refrigerant into the air conditioning system circuit
  • In various modes, check the correct operation of the recirculation flaps, the operation of the fans and the entire air conditioning system
