Thermal block cable tension (Renault Espace I)

1. Sometimes it is necessary to adjust the tension of the fast idle control cable, which is carried out using the clamp nipple (2) (see illustration). The engine must be at operating temperature, and the idle and fast idle speeds must be adjusted.



2. Pull the clamp nipple (2) outward and measure the distance "X" between the edge "1" and the edge of the clamp nipple "2". The lever should be in the normal position. The section "X" should be 6 mm. Otherwise, loosen the clamp nipple and slide it along the cable.
