Precautions when working with a diesel device (Renault Espace I)

When carrying out work on the injection system, in addition to cleanliness, it is necessary to pay attention to the following points:

• a) Work in the open air may only be carried out in windless conditions to prevent dust from getting into open joints.
• b) Before removing the cap nut, wipe off any dust that has settled on it with a cloth.
• c) Place the removed parts in a clean place and cover with paper. Do not use damp cloths. Partially disassembled components are best stored in cardboard boxes until they are reassembled.
• d) Before installation, make sure the parts are clean again.
• e) Never purge parts in the engine compartment if the fuel system connections are open.
• j) Make sure that no fuel gets into the hoses or other rubber parts, as this may damage them. If this happens, wipe the parts off immediately.
