Removal
- remove the door trim as described above;
- on models with central locking, disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery;

- disconnect the contact connector from the lock servo motor (Figure 9.47);

- remove the three screws securing the lock from the rear end of the door (Figure 9.48);

- from inside the door, disconnect the retainers, the outer handle control rod, and the inner handle control cable from the lock assembly. Remove the lock button and rod from the lock assembly (Figure 9.49);

- rotate the lock assembly to release it from the lock cylinder control lever, slide the lock down and out, removing it through the door opening (Figure 9.50);

- detach the spring from the lock assembly (Figure 9.51);

- disconnect the retainer to remove the protective anti-theft cover (Figure 9.52).
Installation
The lock is installed in the reverse order of removal.
