Height adjustment of the shoulder section of the front seat belt

Using button 1, adjust the position of the shoulder section of the seat belt:
  • to lower the belt, press the regulator button 1 from both sides and simultaneously lower the belt;
  • to raise the belt, move the adjuster 1 up.

After adjusting the position of the belt, check the reliability of its fixation (Fig. 1.55).

Fastening the seat belt

Slowly, without jerking, pull out the belt and insert the tongue into the lock until it clicks (check the reliability of the belt fixation in the buckle by pulling the tongue). If the locking mechanism is activated when pulling the belt, loosen the belt tension and then continue pulling it smoothly.

If the belt does not stretch:
  • pull the belt slowly but firmly, extending it approximately 3 cm;
  • then release the belt so that it automatically retracts into the tensioner;
  • pull the belt out again;
  • if the belt still does not stretch, contact a Renault service station.

Driver's seat belt warning light

The lamp lights up and burns continuously, and when the speed reaches approximately 10 km/h, it flashes for 90 seconds, a signal sounds at the same time, after which the lamp burns continuously again.

Unfastening the belt

Press the lock button. The belt is automatically retracted into the tensioner.

To make this operation easier, hold the tongue with your hand.

Slowly pull the belt out of the slot. Insert the movable tongue into the corresponding red lock (Fig. 1.56).

Rear side seat belts

Fastening, unfastening and adjusting the rear seat belts is the same as for the front seat belts.
