After each working cycle, the wiper blades stop for a few seconds. The duration of the pause between work cycles can be changed by turning ring 2 (pic. 1.46).

- D - continuous operation of the wiper at high speed.
When driving, every stop of the car leads to a decrease in the speed of the cleaner. If the windshield wipers were running at high speed, they switch to low speed operation.
As soon as the car moves off, the windshield wipers return to their original mode of operation.
Any action on the stalk lever has priority and overrides the automatic control mode.
Vehicles equipped with an automatic intermittent wiper
With the engine running or accessory mode, set stalk 1 to the desired position:
- A - off;
- B - automatic switching on of intermittent operation.
After setting the lever to this position, if there are drops of water on the windshield, the wiper will automatically turn on at the optimum speed. The duration of the pause between work cycles can be changed by turning ring 2.
Always return the lever to the off position A before starting the engine to return to automatic intermittent operation.
- C - continuous operation of windshield wipers at low speed.
- D - continuous operation at high speed.
Note. If the windshield wipers get stuck (e.g. due to icing on the windshield), the power supply to the windshield wipers is automatically turned off.
Windshield and headlight washers
Pic. 1.47. Headlight washer lever: 1 - lever
With the ignition on, pull the stalk lever 1 towards you (pic. 1.47).
With the headlights off.
A short press activates one wiper cycle.
A long press cycles the wipers three times in a row, with the last wipe after a pause of a few seconds.
With headlights on.
At the same time, the headlight washer will turn on.
Note. If the ambient temperature is below zero, make sure that the wiper blades are not frozen to the glass: this can cause the wiper motor to overheat.
Note. Check the condition of the brushes. They should be replaced as soon as you notice deterioration in glass cleaning performance (about once a year).
Note. Clean your windshield regularly.

If you turn off the ignition while the windshield wipers are running (the lever is in position A, (pic. 1.46), the brushes will stop at an arbitrary position.
